About Dr. Katie Kostelecky

Katie Kostelecky is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist. She has expertise in rehabilitating athletes to full return to sport, acute injury, injury prevention, athletic enhancement, and pelvic health as it relates to athletes. Being a mother of 3, she holds a special love of helping pregnant and postpartum athletes navigate exercise through the many changes the body goes through during this season of life.

Dr. Katie enjoys collaborating with her patients of all ages and skill levels to meet their goals by utilizing her advanced training in exercise prescription, manual therapy, and clinical reasoning to return patients to both their daily lives and athletic aspirations. Her true passion is helping patients and clients achieve their goals in physical fitness and athletic development. No matter where you’re starting, Dr. Katie is happy to work with you to develop a plan that will suit your needs!

Education & Training

Dr. Katie was born and raised in Dickinson, ND. After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology at UND, she received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Mary. Following completion of her professional program, she returned to UND to complete a Sports Physical Therapy residency program. During her time at UND, she was able to provide side-line coverage and quality care to acute and chronic injuries seen in Division I college athletics.

Dr. Katie’s training focused on returning athletes to full performance following ACL reconstruction, concussion, labral tears, and many other traumatic injuries. She has received manual therapy training in dry needling, myofascial release, and joint manipulation. Dr. Katie is also certified to provide medical support for sports events and is a Certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coach.

In her free time, Dr. Katie enjoys anything that gets her body moving - hiking, lifting weights, going on bike rides with her 3 kids, and walking her 2 dogs. She and her husband enjoy antiquing and checking out local breweries.
